My name is Caitlin Bovard and I am an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for working with clients with identity, sex/desire or intimacy issues, overcoming sexual shame and guilt, relationship and communication issues, low self esteem and confidence, trauma and those in the LGBTQ+ community.
My interest in human sexuality began when I decided to write a sex column in my college’s newspaper. I focused on consent, health and safety while also bringing in humor and research (two of my favorite things). Before long and despite having a pseudonym, people started to seek me out and ask me various questions. Other than things that should have been learned in sex education, what I noticed is most questions boiled down to, “Am I normal?” Cut to a decade later, this question still comes up a lot and I’ve made it my mission to normalize, educate and destigmatize even the tabooiest taboos.
Today can be the first day of the rest of your sex life:
You can also find me on Facebook, Psychology Today, LinkedIn, or Yelp.

What to expect your first session: Like any relationship, this working relationship will start with us getting to know each other. You will complete an intake form and I will go over your rights as a client. We will also discuss what to expect from counseling and I will happily answer any and all questions or concerns you may have. It is completely normal to be nervous and I believe you’ll find the space we create together will help you relax and go at your own pace.

On a more personal note, I am a pretty stereotypical Colorado gal so when I’m not in my office, you can find me skiing, backpacking, rock climbing, mountain biking, doing yoga or on an aerial apparatus. I love appreciating and making art (and will happily bring this into counseling if you’re interested). I also have been a bookworm since I first could read.
